When urine drug testing and you get a ‘preliminary positive’ result, you are going to need to send that sample into the laboratory for confirmatory testing. The laboratory under AS4308 guidelines requires you to split the sample on site in order to have the lab receive 2 separate samples – one for testing and the other as a referee sample.
