Urine testing has been around for many years and is a well established and reliable method to detect past drug use.

Advantages:

• Tests for 6-12 drugs with good accuracy
• Well established in terms of legal precedents

Disadvantages:

• Gender specific - must have same gender observe the collection
• Some devices are messy to use and most require manual handling of urine
  
• Can be time consuming in the case of shy bladder syndrome
• More set up and clean up time

it's main feature has to be the split sample attribute - the subject fills the cup and then closes the lid and hands it to the collector, The collector then checks the inbuilt temperature strip and pushes a key into the side of the cup to start the test when they are ready.

If the test is positive it is ready to send to the lab for confirmation - no urine handling at all.
