Hypochondria on the Jobsite

Pre Screening,Screening Tests, RecalibrationA physician’s review has evaluated the strongest characteristics of high problem employees, and one of the first characteristics listed is that of a victim. If you have a perpetual victim working for you, then current business reviews suggest firing them right away. That may seem a little extreme, but let’s examine this subject further.

First of all, hypochondriacs and perpetual victims can be problem employees and, when they areemployed, they may have difficulty contributing to the company and are usually quickly fired. Business owners who keep victim mentalities are not negatively affected by it, or do not see how much of a problem it is, and may not be aware of how their attitude is affecting the company. So, if you are wondering why you have not let go of a victim employee who has been a problem for some time, you may not be aware of this yourself.

Secondarily, the attitude of and resulting atmosphere surrounding a hypochondriac is that of laziness, wanting others to take care of their needs and responsibilities, and this generally leads to shiftlessness in others. In fact, workplaces which lose a victim mentality or a hypochondriac may find that the following workload is quickly done. This is because, for once, they able to be productive and worry-free while not having to listen to continuous complaints about being productive.

If you have a hypochondriac working in your office, then chances are they will not last very long anyway. Victims hate to be put upon to take responsibility for their own lives and they are sometimes found gossiping, complaining, putting their bosses and coworkers down, and disparaging the productivity of others in order to draw attention away from the fact that they, themselves, are doing nothing.
